The design should be embroidered on a water-soluble stabilizer, then soak it for half an hour in a hot water to wash the stabilizer. Use threads of the same color as the top thread in the bobbin to make the back of the toy look pretty as well.

Flowers can be used to decorate the corners of a napkin. The edge trim on this napkin is a decorative stitch on a sewing machine.
